First we opened up the wall between the kitchen and the living room. Then we built a peninsula to create a bar/homework area for the kids to eat and do homework. We placed a spotlight above for task lighting. As a nod to modernity we put built in USB chargers in the wall.
Traditional cabinets, white subway tile, "belgian moon" Caesarstone and some butcherblock.
Below is a panorama of the room as we are removing an interior wall and then putting up a beam to span the distance. There are also two shots of the little exterior "laundry room" we built to house the customer's washer and dryer that were formerly in the kitchen.
