Mangaris, Red Mahogany, Ipe, Ironwood, . These are some of the hardwood species commonly used as decking. They make a deck look like a piece of furniture.

Note, that due to the cost and weight of this material it is frequently sold in 1x thickness (actually 5/8" or 3/4" thick). In comparison old school redwood decking is usually done with 2x (1.5" thick) material. The downside of the thinner hardwood planks is that they are prone to cupping. If you are considering this material I recommend spending the money on thicker planks ~ at least 1".
